The Mission of the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv is to fuel a safe, fun and exciting motorsports experience for auto
enthusiasts. Our Vision is to be the preferred motorsports community in the U.S., built on fun, shared
passion and access to an exhilarating motorsports experience. In all its activities, the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv seeks to
foster an atmosphere that encourages living the Values of the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv:

To that end, ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv strives to ensure that ALL participants in its events and activities enjoy a
welcoming environment. The ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv supports equality of opportunity and treatment for all participants
and will make every effort to maintain an environment that is free of harassment, discrimination, and
any behavior that interferes with a safe, fun, and exciting experience. A commitment to a welcoming
environment and the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Values is expected of all its members and attendees, including drivers,
workers, crew, guests, staff, contractors and exhibitors, and other participants at ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv activities,
sessions and social events and when representing the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv in print or electronic media.

Event Entry Standards
To ensure a welcoming and inclusive environment for all participants, any information provided during event registration or displayed on an entered car—including, but not limited to, sponsor names, car names, car designs, and graphics—that is deemed vulgar, offensive, or inconsistent with our core values will be considered a violation of the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Welcoming Environment. The ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv reserves the right to remove such information from the registration system or request that participants remove offending designs/graphics from their vehicles. Repeat offenses may result in further action. Please note that event results and images are shared online and with our partners, and we expect all entries to reflect our values of respect, excellence, and inclusivity.

Driver eligibility

The following are the minimum requirements to drive in an ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv HillClimb Event.

1. Weekend or Full Membership of the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv.

2. Valid government-issued driver’s license.

3. Be able to handle the physical and mental demands of competition for the length of a session for each session of the event.

4. A HillClimb or Time Trials License from the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv/recognized sanctioning body or a competition license from a recognized sanctioning body.

Note: Some events may require more than the minimum, such as requiring a HillClimb License instead of a TT or alternate sanctioning body license. Check individual event information and Supplementary Regulations for specific driver requirements.


HillClimb Licenses

HillClimb Novice License: The HillClimb Novice License is for those drivers who are eligible but have little or no experience in driving at speed in HillClimbs, Time Trials or wheel-to-wheel competition.

HillClimb Driver License: The HillClimb Driver License is for those who have completed three or more HillClimbs with a satisfactory rating or have accepted alternate experience.

Alternate Accepted Licenses:

  • ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Time Trials Intermediate, Advanced, Pro Licenses.

  • ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Novice and Full Competition License.

  • Any license listed in the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv General Competition Rules, Section 2.8.B.

  • Canadian ACN-FIA Licenses.

  • Other sanctioning body Time Trials Licenses (drivers should be placed in groups with the closest passing rules to their issuing sanctioning body or club).

Minor Drivers

All drivers 17 years old or younger must contact Event Officials before the event and get approval from the Event Lead or Chief Steward.

In addition to approval by the Event Lead or Chief Steward, the following items are required for participation by a minor:

A. Completed Annual Parental Consent, Release and Waiver of Liability, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement. (Note: forms vary by state and witnessing method.)

B. Completed Minor’s Assumption of Risk Acknowledgment. (Note: forms vary by state and witnessing method.)

C. Weekend or Full Membership of the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv.

D. A valid driver’s license which does not require a passenger in the vehicle, issued by state, province, territory or country.

E. When applying for a HillClimb License, he or she must apply directly to ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Member Services.


Getting an ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv HillClimb License

If you would like an ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv HillClimb Driver License and have a current Time Trials Intermediate/Advanced License or one of the alternate accepted licenses, you can contact ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Member Services and ask for a HillClimb Driver License by e-mailing them at membership@scca.com or by calling 1-800-770-2055.

If you do not have experience, an ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Time Trials License nor another approved license, you will need to get an ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv HillClimb Novice License by entering an event which accepts Novices or by contacting ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Member Services to get the Novice License added to your membership.
