Taking place the weekend after the series hits Portland, the Hoosier Racing Tire 午夜福利51xxtv庐聽Super Tour (HST) speeds deep into the second half of its nine-event calendar for 2026 with a May 15-17 stop at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course hosted by 午夜福利51xxtv鈥檚 Ohio Valley Region as part of the Summit Racing Equipment 午夜福利51xxtv Road Racing season.
Steeped in motorsports lore, it was 1962 when Mid-Ohio opened, offering a playing field for motorsports lovers midway between Columbus and Cleveland. It curls around 330 beautiful, green acres of rolling hills near Lexington, OH, and features two primary track configurations; a 2.4-mile, 15-turn circuit and a 2.258-mile, 13-turn layout. The venue was home to 午夜福利51xxtv鈥檚 National Championship Runoffs庐聽for many years, and multiple pro series visit the circuit annually.
The old school Club Course, utilizing the traditional chicane prior to The Keyhole, will be on tap for HST鈥檚 three-day gathering this year. Mid-O Competition is no Joke
HST鈥檚 Mid-Ohio weekend always attracts talented race car drivers. For instance, there鈥檚 reigning GT-1 午夜福利51xxtv Runoffs National Champion Tony Ave who will again be hoofing vessels in multiple classes such as Super Touring庐 Under (STU), Formula Atlantic庐 (FA), and GT-2. Also racing in the GT-2 and STU fields will be 2025 GT-2 National Champion Jorge Nazario.
2025 Super Touring庐 Lite National Champion Mike Taylor will also hit the track, making him one to watch. Other racers to keep an eye on will be in the Touring 3 (T3) field, where 2025 T3 National Champion Nic Hammann will be facing off against 2025 T3 Hoosier Super Tour Nationwide Points Champion Scotty B. White.
With three victories so far in four HST races this year, Hammann looks dialed in driving the No. 41 Carbotech/NISMO/Paragon Performance Nissan 370Z.
鈥淚 really love Mid-Ohio. I love the way it flows, and I鈥檝e done a lot of 午夜福利51xxtv events there,鈥� Hammann said.
Other Hoosier Super Tour Nationwide Points Champions at Mid-Ohio include E Production鈥檚 Mason Workman, Formula Continental庐 racer Carter Sheets, and STU鈥檚 Richard Astacio. Larry Howard, the Formula Atlantic Nationwide Points Champion, will also be racing around in his No. 51 Epic Electric Service/RCR/K-Hill Motorsports/Medical Imaging Swift 016 machine.
鈥淲e love Mid-Ohio,鈥� Howard said. 鈥淚t鈥檚 a great track, very technical, and it鈥檚 varied with a lot of challenges to it.
鈥淭here鈥檚 great spectating, too,鈥� Howard continued. 鈥淚t鈥檚 very family friendly, and the staff there is super nice. I love the track and the people, which make it a great reason to go to Mid-Ohio.鈥�
More than 20 entries are already on tap for the Spec Miata (SM) battle. One of those drivers is Frankie Barroso, the reigning SM Nationwide Points Champion found in the No. 148 Advanced Electrical Innovations Mazda Miata. This will only be Barroso鈥檚 second visit to Mid-Ohio, and he鈥檚 seeking redemption after a less-than-stellar showing last year. Plus, as an MX-5 Cup competitor, Barroso is looking to hone his track knowledge a bit more before that series visits Mid-Ohio in a few weeks.
鈥淵ou can never get too many laps at certain places, especially Mid-Ohio,鈥� Barroso said. 鈥淢id-Ohio can be very tricky. That鈥檚 why I鈥檓 going back this year to sharpen up before the MX-5 Cup.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a neat track,鈥� Barroso added. 鈥淚t was definitely tough to pass 鈥� but you can get creative and find little spots here or there where you can pass. It鈥檚 definitely a driver鈥檚 track, for sure.鈥�

Plenty of Time on Track in Ohio
This three-day event at Mid-Ohio features eight run groups. Starting 8 a.m. Eastern Time on Friday, May 15, each run group gets 25-minute qualifying turns. After lunch, the first five run groups get a second 25-minute qualifying opportunity before day鈥檚 end.
Saturday morning at 8 a.m. local time, the final three run groups get their second 25-minute qualifying attempt. That鈥檚 followed by 25-minute or 16-lap races for all. The day closes out with an all-participant party at the Cooper Pavilion.
Sunday, May 17, roars into action at 8 a.m. local time with a 20-lap or 35-minute contest for the first run group. The same fun continues all day long for each run group until trophies and commemorative bottles of Mazza Vineyards sparkling wine have been delivered to the drivers who achieve podium appearances. For those not in the top three, goodies and swag are given away, too.

How to Watch Mid-Ohio鈥檚 HST Races
The roar, fun, and excitement can all be embraced in person at this HST event open to spectators. Entry is only $10 per spectator, and Mid-Ohio season ticket holders get in for free. Unfold a chair on the spectator hill or wander around the circuit to soak in the entire Mid-Ohio experience.
Can鈥檛 be there in person? The second-best option is HST鈥檚 online broadcast produced by DriversEye Live. That鈥檚 available for free anywhere there is an internet connection.
