Those on the West Coast may have been experiencing an early-spring heat wave, but attendees at the March 27-29, 2026, Tire Rack 午夜福利51xxtv庐 Charlotte Solo庐 National Tour were bouncing between hoodies and winter jackets with knit caps all weekend. That didn鈥檛 slow the enthusiasm, however, as 272 drivers laid down times at zMAX Dragway in Concord, NC.聽
The wind died down on Sunday, at least, and 午夜福利51xxtv鈥檚 Central Carolinas Region hosted a spectacular event when it came to things within their control. Reigning H Street National Champion Tim Matijow put together the courses, though the temperatures meant that the key to the weekend was keeping the car under you. Grip was low, so any misplaced aggression immediately caused issue as the car slid out of position. In other words, Matijow鈥檚 courses rewarded precision all weekend long.
Ginette Jordan, no stranger to National competition, was rewarded by 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track with coaching by Eric Brown during the event. Jordan improved on each course through the day, finishing second in F Street Prepared in her Volkswagen Rabbit.
Class Talk
The weather and the courses spread the times in a number of classes, but don鈥檛 tell that to the A Street Touring trophy winners. Four drivers battled for the four pieces of hardware, with first through fourth separated by less than a second. Andrew Salazar led day one in his Miata, then held on through Sunday鈥檚 runs for a 0.163sec win over Will Teller. Kevin Wenzel was 0.481sec behind Teller, and Wenzel鈥檚 co-driver Mike Casino scored the final slot, another 0.099sec behind.
C Street Prepared was yet another Miata battle, with Christian Kolmers taking victory. Kolmers was just 0.007sec ahead of Christian Patrick after day one, but stretched his advantage on Sunday. Langlee King took a break from the Club鈥檚 social media to score third place and a trophy in the Open class.
X Prepared鈥檚 three trophy spots were less than a half-second apart. Fred Zust trailed Tim Matijow overnight, but mounted a comeback with a quick run on Sunday to take the top spot by just 0.073sec. Randall Wilcox trophied, just 0.321sec behind Matijow.
Maybe those cones are only suggestions after all? John Vitamvas claimed Xtreme Street A, but Josh Luster took second place despite having just one clean run 鈥� all weekend long.
Ladies Street Touring Bump was a serious battle for the trophy positions, with four drivers having a shot at the win going into the last runs. Stephanie Wells, Carmen Rowlands, Molly Thore Maxey, and Melissa Fehr were the four contenders, with Wells taking the win over Rowlands by 0.105sec. Just 0.694sec back from Rowlands was Maxey, and another 0.093sec later was Fehr in the final trophy spot.聽
