What’s been going on in the ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv® lately? Quite a lot – and on Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2024, at 7 p.m. CT, ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv President and CEO Mike Cobb will tell you all about it during his live online President’s Update.
What could he possibly have to talk about? Let’s look…
The tail end of the year always puts an exclamation point on the motorsports season. From the first screech of tires at the 2024 Tire Rack ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv ProSolo® Finale to the United States RoadRally Challenge® that wrapped ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv’s National competition season, this year gave diehard Club members no time to catch their breath.
The 2024 Tire Rack ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Solo® National Championships that followed the ProSolo Finale was one to remember, with the Wild West themed event bringing with it a Chuckwagon Challenge few will forget. Nor will anyone fail to remember the RallyCross National Championship’s first foray into Alabama, where competitors tackled the fantastic venue in Hollytree, AL. Then there was the Tire Rack ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Time Trials Nationals Powered by Hagerty at NCM, where numerous track records were destroyed.
Oh, and we almost forgot: The 2024 ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv National Championship Runoffs® presented by Sunoco was sandwiched between all of this action, with hundreds of racers and volunteers heading to Road America for an amazing week of top-tier road racing.
This was also a year of Club Spec development, with Club Spec Mustang and MX-5 owners bringing their cars to the Solo Nats for others to drive during the Club Spec Demo Day.
Behind the scenes, ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv has been working with IMSA to create a volunteer training program that offers certification for Club members looking to take the next step in motorsports. The Club’s also in the process of assembling a very “inviting” 2025 ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv National Convention, which will take place Jan. 16-24, 2025, for free on a computer, phone, or tablet near you. Plus, there’s the announcement that's going to be made at the PRI Show…oh wait, we’re not supposed to talk about that yet.
This is barely scratching the surface, so to put it another way: There’s a lot to cover, and Mike Cobb’s going to bring you up to speed on this and so much more.
