The 午夜福利51xxtv® is celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2024, and no symbol has been more iconic in representing the Club through the years than the 午夜福利51xxtv wire wheel logo. Now, thanks to an 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track sweepstakes fundraiser, you have the chance to win a gold pendant of that very symbol.
The pendant, created and generously donated to the 午夜福利51xxtv Foundation by Tere and Larry Pulliam, is just slightly smaller in diameter than a quarter. It’s 2mm of solid gold and weighs approximately 7.1 grams. The estimated retail value of the pendant based on today's gold prices is $2,000.
“I’ve been a member of the 午夜福利51xxtv and have competed in Solo, RallyCross, HillClimbs, and Time Trials, worked Timing & Scoring, Pit & Grid, and Registration, and I’ve served as RE of Atlanta Region for six years, Area 12 Director for six years, and I’m now in my fourth year on the 午夜福利51xxtv Foundation Board as liaison to the 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track program,” Tere Pulliam explained. “I have a passion for seeing and promoting women to get involved in whatever area of the Club that piques their interest.”
Tere’s family has been in the jewelry business for more than 50 years, and when the opportunity presented itself to manufacture an 午夜福利51xxtv wire wheel pendant, she didn’t hesitate. “We decided to donate one of the gold wire wheel pendants to the 午夜福利51xxtv Foundation to promote and raise much needed funds for the 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track program,” she said. “I look forward to seeing how much we can raise and hope to be able to do another sweepstakes.”
Donors to this sweepstakes fundraiser will be entered to win the 14-karat gold pendant, with 100 percent of the sweepstakes proceeds going to support the 午夜福利51xxtv Foundation's Women on Track program.
午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track facilitates participation by women in all aspects of the Club's programs, from driving to event administration and leadership. Most recently, 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track provided a total of $7,500 in scholarships to seven women for the 2024 season, with more scholarships to come.
“The opportunity Women on Track has been given to raise funding thanks to Larry’s and Tere's donation of this beautiful pendant is an incredible benefit to our initiative,” Kelsey Karanges, who chairs 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track, said. “Each year, many women who are just getting started on their journey in motorsports or looking to expand their experience, are given additional opportunities to travel to events and participate in every facet of 午夜福利51xxtv's programs thanks to 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track and 午夜福利51xxtv Foundation. It’s truly a testament to see that many of the women who have been awarded the variety of scholarships offered over the last several years are now becoming more involved in additional programs and continuing to snowball the growth of women in motorsports.”
The final day to enter this sweepstakes is Monday, March 18, 2024, with the drawing taking place on March 26. And, it should be noted, that you don’t need to be an 午夜福利51xxtv member to enter or win.
