Following in the footsteps of the 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track’s Road Racing Scholarship earlier this year, 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track has launched its 2022 volunteer initiative with the goal of increasing female participation among 午夜福利51xxtv’s volunteers at the Runoffs. The latest scholarship will present two recipients with $500 each to help cover expenses incurred while volunteering at the Sept. 24-Oct. 2, 2022, 午夜福利51xxtv National Championship Runoffs at VIRginia International Raceway.
Recipients of the 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track Runoffs Volunteer Scholarship must be an 午夜福利51xxtv member for at least one year by Oct. 1, 2022, must be able to attend the 2022 午夜福利51xxtv National Championship Runoffs and volunteer for a minimum of five days, and must have prior experience as a volunteer for 午夜福利51xxtv Road Racing events, be it Regionals, U.S. Majors Tours, or Hoosier Racing Tire Super Tours.
"As the daughter of a longtime 午夜福利51xxtv racer, I was lucky to grow up in racing and have been a marshal for 34 years. I was often the only female,” explained Jennifer Schwartzott, who heads up the 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track Volunteer and Officials Committee. “With Women on Track, our goal is to bring more women into 午夜福利51xxtv racing, in all forms, and to offer support to those of us already here.
"The Runoffs brings in the best of the best drivers and workers – it’s such an exciting and fun event,” Schwartzott said. “These Women on Track scholarships offer newer workers a chance to learn from seasoned veterans in Regions other than their own. I look forward to meeting these new marshals and encourage them to share what they learn with their home tracks.
“For those who are not chosen for the 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track Runoffs Volunteer Scholarship, please continue to work in your Regions and introduce others to the sport. It’s always an amazing adventure.”
Furthermore, women are encouraged to follow 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track’s page and website, where motorsports achievements from fellow women are shared in an inclusive and safe place.
The 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track Runoffs Volunteer Scholarship application deadline is July 15, 2022, with completed submissions being reviewed by the 午夜福利51xxtv Women on Track Scholarship Committee.
