It is expected that the Yokohama A052 will meet the specification and eligibility requirements (13.3.A&B) defined in the Solo Rule Book (SRB), and be eligible for competition in 2019. The SEB believes the membership is best served by having tire choices from multiple manufacturers. If a new tire demonstrates that it redefines the performance envelope, effectively reducing the choices available to members, the SEB would evaluate immediate listing of that tire as ineligible for competition. (See 13.3.C.4 in the SRB).
