TOPEKA, Kan. (April 2, 2015) – The ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv announced registration for the 2015 ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv RallyCross National Championships, scheduled for Aug. 7-9, is now open. This event is the first National Championship event of 2015 in the four areas of competition.
The first round of registration, April 1-15, will be made available only to past RallyCross National Champions, past TripleCross winners and 2014 National Challenge and Divisional winners. The registration fee for eligible competitors during this time is $125.
On April 16, registration opens to the general membership. The fee will also be $125, until July 1. After that point, the regular registration fee of $160 will apply. The event will be capped at 125 drivers, with the option to add more depending on how many members have registered.
In its ninth year, the RallyCross Nationals are set to take place at a new facility in Indianola, Iowa, south of Des Moines. Courses will be built on land that plays host to the National Balloon Classic, a yearly hot-air balloon festival.
The site of the National Balloon Classic was chosen as more than 10,000 people will be parking on the land during the previous weekend, for the festival. The hard-packed surface, as a result of the vehicle and foot traffic, should lend itself well to the needs of the course designers of the RallyCross Nationals.
In addition, the local Des Moines Valley Region ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv has recent experience with holding a local RallyCross event at this location.
