(Sept. 23, 2008) -- 午夜福利51xxtv announced today the revision of several of its year-end Tire Rack ProSolo Series awards, including the Hawk Super Challenge, Honda Tuner Challenge and Street Touring庐 S class honors, following the disqualification of provisional winner Andy Hollis from The Tire Rack 午夜福利51xxtv Solo National Championships on Sept. 19.Following the adjustment, Billy Brooks, of Park City, Utah, was named the Hawk Super Challenge Overall Champion for 2008 and Kevin McCormick, of Lincoln, Calif., captured the Honda Tuner Challenge Championship for 2008.While the events are not tied together through a common Championship, they are tied to a common rulebook. The ProSolo regulations state that 聙聹if a competitor is disqualified at The Tire Rack庐 午夜福利51xxtv庐 Solo庐 National Championship, all or a portion of the Series points may be revoked.聙聺 Therefore, ProSolo officials ruled that Hollis forfeit all points earned throughout the season.Brooks earned the Hawk Super Challenge title off the strength of a win at the Toledo Round, a fourth at Wendover and an 18th-place finish at the Topeka finale in his Street Touring庐 X class COBB/Crazy Money Racing/Team AR Subaru Impreza WRX.McCormick took the Honda Tuner Challenge in his Kumho/America聙聶s Tire/Bilstein Honda Civic Si as the top Honda product in Super Challenge competition throughout the year. He was also awarded the Street Touring S class Championship following Hollis聙聶 disqualification. Doug Allen moved into second in STS class points, with Katie Elder third.In other Tire Rack ProSolo finale competition, Jonathan Roberts, of Richmond Hill, Ga., crushed the A Stock competition by 2.136 seconds in his Subaru STi to earn the top qualifying spot in the Hawk Super Challenge. Roberts聙聶 run to glory ended there though, as 32nd, and final qualifier Tom Kubo knocked him out in the first round. Roberts did receive some consolation, winning the ChaseCam Bonus Challenge, which included all drivers knocked out of the first round of the Hawk Super Challenge.Matthew Braun, of Northville, Mich., came from behind to win Super Stock in his PowerPlug Lotus Elise by 0.454-second over co-driver Gary Thomason, of Oceanside, Calif. Braun聙聶s win propelled him to the season Super Stock Championship over Thomason.Alex Schipkov, of Albany, N.Y., had the narrowest victory of the event, taking D Street Prepared in his venerable SoloRacer.com/BMW2002.com/TCKline BMW 325i by just 0.097-second over Nathan Whipple聙聶s FunHondas/Rallydecals Acura Integra R. Schipkov also took the season DSP Championship.Ladies competition saw a major shakeup to the season standings, with Carrie Snyder, of Elizabethtown, Pa., taking the Topeka win and vaulting from fifth place entering the event to take the season Championship in her SSC Tint/stranoparts/Thanks Jerry! Toyota MR2. Snyder finished just seventh in the Ladies 1 class competition and was the final qualifier into the challenge, but advanced through to knock off Karen Kraus聙聶 L1 class-winning IAG Performance/Koni Subaru Impreza WRX in the finale.
