PACKWOOD, Wash. (July 22, 2009) €“ Just a week after the Tire Rack® ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv Packwood National Tour event, Soloists had the opportunity to test their reaction times at Hampton Mills for the Packwood ProSolo. Following their success at the National Tour event, husband and wife team Stacey and Laura Molleker, of Granite Falls, Wash., each walked away with Challenge wins. After finishing second in Bump Class 1 to Jerry Jenkins, of Vancouver, Wash., Stacey Molleker picked his way through the Super Challenge bracket in his Air Testing & Design Ford Shelby GT. In the final round, Molleker beat out A Stock winner Scott McHugh, of Santa Clarita, Calif., and his McRacing Chevrolet Corvette. It was the very first Super Challenge win for Molleker in 25 years of Solo competition.Like her husband, Laura Molleker finished second in Ladies Class 1 competition to the FCM/Americas Tire Vancouver Mazda Miata of Kyra Jenkins, from Vancouver, Wash., before advancing to the Ladies Challenge. There, she out-drove another fellow Ladies 1 competitor, Pamela Earnes, of Meridian, Idaho, in a Bubblicious Audi TT Quattro to take the Ladies Challenge victory in the couple€™s Air Testing & Design Ford Shelby GT.In the Chase Cam Bonus Challenge, Bump Class 1 competitor Shane Jensen, of Woodinville, Wash., faced off against Ladies Class 2 driver Kathy Wolfskill, of Nederland, Colo., in a Team Tom Terrific Mazda Miata. After a rough second day of class competition, failing to enter a single clean run in BC1, Jensen would redeem himself and come away with the Chase Cam Bonus Challenge win, driving a Kenmore Les Schwab/TDS/Bilstein Honda Civic Si.D Stock competitor Kinch Reindl, of Denver, Colo., was the Honda Tuner Challenge winner, piloting a RipTideHosting.com Acura Integra. There were several impressive comebacks witnessed in class competition at Packwood. In B Stock, Joe Goeke, of Kirkland, Wash., pushed his Mazda RX-8 to the edge on his final two runs, which earned him the BS win by a mere 0.065-second over Bryan Heitkotter, of Fresno, Calif., in a Team H&H Mazda RX-8.Similarly, Abe Potter, of Renton, Wash., went from fourth to first in Street Touring® Ultra on his final two runs in the SurgelineTuning/FordahlMotorsports Subaru WRX STi. Potter topped second-place Geoff Clark, of Monroe, Wash., in a Taco Time/WORKS/GiroDisc Mitsubishi Evolution by 0.293-second.D Stock became a battle of the Cobalts, as Kevin Dietz, of Federal Way, Wash., made a day two comeback to challenge Cal Craner, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, for the win. Dietz€™ final run in the MaxQData/Evolution/JimsDeatilShops Chevy Cobalt SS sealed the deal, as he took the win over Craner and his WallysAutoRepair/NewFrontier.com Chevy Cobalt SS by 0.109-second.Only one more regular season Tire Rack ÎçÒ¹¸£Àû51xxtv ProSolo Series event remains before the ProSolo Finale in September.
