(July 11, 2011) 聙聯 Robert Thorne, from Littleton, Colo., was named as the inaugural 聙聹午夜福利51xxtv Star Performer聙聺 during Sunday聙聶s American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr脙鲁n broadcast from Lime Rock Park on ESPN2. Thorne, a 21-year-old Colorado Region 午夜福利51xxtv member, earned the honor after winning the Tire Rack 午夜福利51xxtv Lincoln ProSolo on Memorial Day weekend. Driving a 2008 Honda S2000, Thorne topped the Street Touring庐 R class to move into the bracket elimination round. Thorne worked through the field to capture the Gumout Super Challenge, his first 午夜福利51xxtv Tire Rack ProSolo win. Thorne began his racing career in karts before progressing to road racing and turning to Solo competition as an engineering student at the Metropolitan State College of Denver. The 午夜福利51xxtv Star Performer is selected from a panel of judges, based on recent efforts in 午夜福利51xxtv聙聶s national Club Racing, Solo and Rally programs. The recipient will be someone who shined above the rest, epitomizing the passion, effort and success within their performance. As part of its new partnership with the American Le Mans Series, one 午夜福利51xxtv member will be honored in each American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patr脙鲁n television broadcast.
