TOPEKA, Kan. (January 10, 2013) - An enhanced focus on assisting 午夜福利51xxtv Regions with local Solo events has led the 午夜福利51xxtv to add long-time members Raleigh and Velma Boreen as Regional Solo Development Managers. The newly created field staff positions will serve as liaisons between Region event organizers and the National Office, offering ideas, resources and assistance to those putting on events.
The Boreens have been tasked with developing a plan to help 午夜福利51xxtv Regions improve and grow their Regional Solo programs, including safety, leadership, event site, marketing and customer service elements. The couple have been Club members since 1976, with 午夜福利51xxtv experience ranging from Club Racing to Solo event organizers, drivers, and Division officials. Each have recently retired from their full-time careers.
鈥淩aleigh and Velma will be spending their first year of retirement together doing what they have done for 30 years, helping 午夜福利51xxtv members and Regions,鈥� Howard Duncan, 午夜福利51xxtv VP , Rally/Solo and Special Programs, said. 鈥淭he regional Solo programs have the lowest barriers to entry in the 午夜福利51xxtv, and offer a unique way to introduce new members to the Club. The Boreen鈥檚 are developing a plan to help the Regions reach these potential new members and elevate their local programs in the near future.鈥�
Starting immediately, the Regional Solo Development Managers are evaluating data and speaking with Region Solo officials to better understand the local Solo programs and the motivations, challenges and successes each face. That evaluation and sharing of information will continue through the 2013 season, with a detailed plan ready for implementation for the 2014 season.
鈥淲hile there may be a number of quick fixes for some Regions in 2013, this project is taking a long-term view of the program,鈥� Duncan continued. 鈥淲e鈥檙e spending this year talking to a number of participants and organizers to identify as many positive and negative aspects as we can, so that all 115 午夜福利51xxtv Regions can potentially hit the ground running to start 2014 with additional resources and carry that momentum into the future.鈥�
